La crescita di materiali nanostrutturati e la loro interazione con altri sistemi o con l’ambiente circostante sono argomenti cardine per lo sviluppo delle nanoscienze in chiave applicativa. All’interno della piattaforma crescita sono stati progettati e sviluppati sistemi che vanno dalla crescita di film sottili con fasci atomici o molecolari alla fabbricazione di materiali compositi su larga scala. Le attrezzature sono in grado di lavorare in maniera autonoma o in maniera sinergica, grazie anche a laboratori chimici attrezzati che permettono la realizzazione di precursori o la successiva funzionalizzazione del materiale ottenuto.
